The Beat Squad is the home of the Clown Doctors North East programme.

All of us at the Clown Doctors know how scary it can be to be poorly or in hospital, so we’d like to connect with as many of you as possible.

We’ve made this special website so you can watch some funny Clown Doctors videos and find ideas of things to make and do.

Your grown-up people can find out more about the organisations that help us run the Clown Doctors North East programme and how they can get involved.

This website is supported by the Children’s Heart Unit Fund at the Freeman Hospital, which is why we chose to call it The Beat Squad.  “Beat” comes from “heartbeat” and “squad” means all of us from patients, nurses, family and funders to the Clown Doctors.
